The magic door

Cocoa Puff on My Blog - Tue, April 08 2008

That's right. We have a magic door at our house. Apparently that's where all our yummy food come from. Well, except for the dog treats in the jar and the baby carrots in the freezer. When I get up in the morning, I run to the magic door and sit there. Mom laughs at me because she says that it's not always time to eat. Says who? I see them eating whenever they want(they have some stuff behind the magic door too or else they're eating our food). If mom doesn't move fast enough in the morning, I start barking my "smoker's bark" at her so she knows I'm hungry. That just makes her laugh more and slows down the food getting process. But finally she gives in and opens the magic door and pulls out our food and supplements and feeds us. Mom thinks I can tell time because I'm usually close to food time when I start sitting by the door. Chase does his "woo-woos" when he is ready to eat. That also makes mom laugh. She says we're a bunch of clowns. I think we're a bunch of really smart hungry dogs!

I bang Sydney's and my bowls against the baseboard and slide them across the laminate floor when I think it's time to eat. I really like to bang Sydney's because it's metal and makes a very satisfying noise. Mine is ceramic and says GOOD DOG on it.

Nuh-uhh!! We have a magic door, too! It has all these wonderful smells in it and also our Rubbermaid containers of food! When I think it's mealtime (plus or minus 1 hour), I usually sit in the kitchen and alternately stare uncomfortably at the door and whoever is closeby. Someone always gives in and feeds us.
