Getting chubby

Teddy on Health - Sun, April 06 2008

Okay..maybe I'm more than chubby..I've gotten really big!! Anyone have any ideas for low-fat good tasting dog treats?? I'm hoping with trips to the bark park and playing outside more I'll lose some of this weight...but mom is worried!

Mom says that I got alittle chubby this winter too. She is cutting back on the amount of food she feeds me and with the warmer temperature, I know I will be outside running and playing more in the yard.

Hey, don't feel bad Teddy. Same here. Mom was really surprised that I gained weight when we went to the vet because she has me on lean treats, but as of today, I am also on senior dog food. I guess thats because I am a bit mature. Like Mom. We will be going to the park more now so that should help too. Take care.

Green Bean substitute for some of your food works. My vet says that natural foods are good too - potato slices, carrots, green beans, apples, etc. Think fiber..

Yeah, hi - I weigh 13.5 POUNDS!!! My dad had to take me to the vet a few weeks ago because I had a slipped disk in my back due to my weight. Now he measures my food and I have to walk a lot. It's like Biggest Loser for canines. I eat Eagle Pack Hollistic - the diet kind and I like it!

Mom alternates between giving us traditional dog treats and baby carrots. Mom sometimes even lets me help bite the little chunks of flesh from the apple core when she's done with her apple.
