My 1st puppy mill protest

Cocoa Puff on Activities - Sat, April 05 2008

Hey guys. I went to my first puppy mill protest today! Mom has gone to most of them but none of the rest of us have ever gone to them. Mom let me go and Dad and the Pitbull Mama also went for their first time. I went to the Uncle Bill's on the North side. Mom took treats and a blanket for me. Mostly I just sat at the blanket and enjoyed the warm weather. Mom did hold me and help me wave at the passing cars. It was really cool and I'm glad she let me go. I met another PM survivor there. He had been in for 12 years and his bottom jaw had rotted so he had to have it removed. He was very handsome anyway and friendly too! Mom got some of the brochures to hand out. Then we went to Speedway to get something for the adults to drink(I was smart enough to have water). One of the workers was mean to mom and started arguing with her. He asked her how much they were paying them to hold the protest signs. She tried explaining to him that they do it because of love not $$. He wanted to argue about how the whole PM thing is blown out of proportion and there aren't that many like that. Mom tried talking to him but of course he was right because he used to raise dogs and sell them to the Sheriff's department. Whatever. I wish I could have bitten him for upsetting mom and telling lies. Then I went back home while everybody else went out to Safari Pets. Mom said she got to meet Amos the Puggie baby. His mom is the one that wrote the PM poem that mom posted after the last protests. Next protests are May 17th on the Eastside and Southside. I hope mom lets me go again. It was very interesting. I like educating people about the bad things that some people do to animals. Maybe I have found my calling in life. Cocoa Puff-the activist.

Sounds like you had a wonderful day. I'm sorry your mom had a difficult time with that nasty man. I think mom can make the one on the Eastside on May 17th. She said I'm not ready yet. Maybe Sheila can go.

Cool that you got to go! I had to stay home and kill my first bird (see post). I'm sorry that your mom had to deal with that guy. People liek him have their headsup their butts. That's what mom says...I don't talk like that.

Congratulations Miss Puff on attending your first protest! I'm sorry that stupid man was a jerk to your mama who works so hard to educate people. Some of them are just stuck on stupid.

Way to go, girlfriend! I wish Mom would take me to one, but she knows I'd bark my head off. I'm sorry about that guy....what an idiot.
