Panic at the disco(or in the car)

Cocoa Puff on My Blog - Fri, April 04 2008

Wow, I had a very eventful evening. Mom's been running around like crazy today. She took Sweetie to work with her, then came home and got Blitzen and took him somewhere by himself. When dad got home, she told him that we are still on a pink bed mission so she thought it was my turn to go by myself. Dad was really nice and put my favorite dog bed in the car for me(I usually ride in the crate but wasn't up for it tonight). I got blankies and everything in the back seat. Then we went way up to Lola's Petsmart in Westfield to see if we could find the elusive soft pink baby dog bed. We went in and right away a nice lady gave me some dog treats. Mom had me try a beautiful pink dress on but I think the size was mis-marked because it was a little tight. It was really pretty with ruffles and bows and everything. I felt like a real princess in it but mom said there was no point in buying it if it was already shrinked up. We couldn't find the bed but I got a little bag of treats and we left. Mom and dad were hungry but didn't want to leave me alone in the car for too long. So they stopped at a Fazoli's where they could park by the window so they could keep an eye on the car. I was all settled in with my treats and they left. While they were gone, I started wondering what happened to them. I couldn't see them because I'm too short. So I tried to get out of the car to go looking for them. I got down on the floorboard and I was stuck! Dad had left his big ice scraper/brush thingy on the floorboard and I got wedged underneath it. I was panicking and wanted someone to come rescue me. It seemed like forever before they came back. Mom looked in the car and got nervous because she didn't see me right away. Dad's the one that found me trapped by the ice scraper. Mom was so upset that she let me ride in her lap in my dog bed all the way home. I was panting and nervous but I got some nice cool ice water when I got home. That was really scary though. Be careful and stay in your dog bed when your people are out of the car. I'm exhausted so I"m off to take another nap before bedtime. Have a great weekend!

Yikes! That would be very scary, Cocoa Puff. About the pink bed...Mom said to tell you that she saw a pink bed for 12.99 at Target in Castleton yesterday. It was fuzzy and looked really soft. So tell your mom, if you want.

OMG, BFF! That would have been AWFUL! You should have called me, I'd have gone with you. It was pretty boring around here last night. A trip to my Petsmart would have been perfect. I'm sorry you got stuck and that your mom and dad deesserted you for food. Did they bring you anything? I suppose not! Just text me next time ok? TTLY!

You need to have your Mom leave you a cell phone for emergencies. Shesh.. do we have to teach parents everything?

So, no pink dog bed and no Fazoli's breadsticks? I'm glad you made it back safe and sound!

Nope, I only got some treats out of it. Mom and Dad went to the Plainfield Petsmart but still no pink baby dog bed. My aunt is going to look at the Eastside one but it's looking dismal. I guess I'll have to pick a different bed. I didn't know they had breadsticks there. They did smell like pizza and stuff when they got back in the car.
