Man of the house - done

Hoover on Behavior - Thu, April 03 2008

I haven't had a minute to post since I've been resting, but dad made it home safely from Looziana Tuesday evening. My duties are done and he has taken over. I am wiped out! I do take control of things during the day while dad is at work but those night shifts kill me!

All I've been doing is napping and these past two nights, you couldn't have woken me up if you tried. Man, I'm glad he's home!

Mom is very proud of me, as she always is when I'm on my tour of duty. I'm gonna go continue resting now, this is going to take a few days.

My dad is HOME!! Woo hoo!! At night I keep putting my paw, ever so gently, on his face just to make sure he's really there. I love my dad.

Glad your dad's back from Looziana. You did an admirable job as the man of the house in his absence. Get caught up on your rest, Hoover. Being the man around the house can take a lot out of a body.

Yes, I am very tired and I have lost some weight. Mom says I didn't but what does she know? This was a tough week on me. Stuart, my dad hasn't even thanked me yet. I will call him on it this evening. I deserve at least that.

Good job, Hoover! That must have been tiring. Make sure you get some good treats, so you'll get your strength back. We don't have a man of our house. Mom says we're the house of b*tches! :)

Bev, that would be way more menacing to any intruder than a man would!
