Daddy will put Mom on speaker phone for us when she's away... but we only have voice mail in our house (no answering machines)

I always want to say hello to Batman when I'm away. But, I don't leave him an answering machine message.

Yes, I'll admit...I have called home and left messages for my furkids. Daily, when we were in Disney World last year:)

I've talked to the girls on speaker phone, and have whistled into the answer machine for them. Crazy, I know. But who are they going to tell??

My mom doesn't have an answering machine anymore. But, when she calls, Daddy always puts the phone up to my ear so she can say Hi!

We don't have an answering matching here, either. The last time I went on vacation, however, I did call to talk to the dogs once. Big surprise, they didn't even care.

This made Mom laugh SO hard. People that do not love animals can make fun ALL they want, but animals really do enjoy it. When we occasionally talk Grandparents into taking us home with them (for an overnight visit), they have Mom talk to us, and we go crazy. Now, Mom has cats too, but they do not seem to get as excited as we do, but when Peggy was alive she would go crazy for Mom's voice. No one needs to be ashamed of this. I stand up tall and proud of it (lol ha ha), but lots do think I am a little nutty with the pets too. Oh well. Thanks for the info and all that responded.

If my husband calls from work while I'm gone, he won't leave a message. Since Daisy has separation anxiety he is afraid his voice might get her upset.

I only have voicemail so I can't leave a message for Zoe, but if someone is petsitting her while I am out of town, I call her all the time. She goes crazy!
