There's a Hawk in our Yard!

Be careful, Buster....we've had one in our cherry tree in the backyard before that mama thought was so big, it could have picked me up and carried me off. Glad you were inside, giving him the what to's and where for's.

Be really careful. We have a Cooper's Hawk that visits our house. I'm not a little dog (42 pounds), and that thing looks at me funny. It really spooks me sometimes. I can't imaging being a little guy and having that thing eye me. Gives me the chills!

Hey, we had one swooping in our yard yesterday, too! Kinda cool...kinda frightening...

We had one visit several times during the winter. Mom kept freaking out if I was in the yard at the same time the hawk came around. I guess because the hawk would land right near me and we'd stare at each other. I think Mom is worried he'll carry me off one day. LOL! I weigh 50 pounds. Mom worries too much. Dad is way more laid back.

YIKES! Be careful and don't let those hawks do anything to you.

We have two that hovered over our yard last summer...scared our neighbor and mom half to death. We are smaller than most rabbits and they have been known to swoop down and pick up chihuahuas! We have to be very careful!!

We have several around here and they're HUGE! Mom watches me closely outside.

You have to be very careful. My cousin, who is the size of little Stevie, was almost picked up by a hawk. Her daddy ran out there to get her just in time. When mom babysits the little dogs, she never lets them in the backyard by themselves because we have a hawk at our house too.

That's crazy! Our Nana lives right across the street from the canal and when we stay there we can see all the creatures out there. Every spring a BLUE HERRON (sp) comes and it looks so very weird! I want to go out and chase it but Nan says it would most likely tear me to shreds!
