Heat spraying?

Mom hopes this is just temporary insanity...I've gone into my first heat cycle. And right in front of Mom I sprayed in Titus's kennel. Titus doesn't seem to mind much but Mom's making a lot of noise about this. I've lived here about two months now and have never sprayed / marked anything yet. Mom was waiting for me to get all of my kitten boosters before she takes me to FACE to be spayed. My last set of boosters is on April 5th, Mom set an appt. for me at FACE on April 11th. Has anyone ever had a precious lil baby like me start spraying with the onset of her first heat cycle? Mom knows that spraying is a horrible habit to try and break so she's hoping this is a very temporary thing. Thanks for all your help...I'm off to flirt with Jordan again. Purs, Izzy
