Small Dog Bark Park

Alena on Activities - Fri, February 15 2008

I wanted to spread the word that Bark Tutor in Broadripple (right by Pet Supplies Plus) has a small dog indoor Bark Park from 12-6 on Sundays.

We are very excited about this!!!! It's for dogs 25lbs and under.

I believe it's $5 to get in. You need proof of Rabies, Distemper, Parvo, and Bordetella shots.

Spread the word so that Jude and the puppies can have lots of small friends to play with and so they won't have to worry about getting trampled at the regular parks.

We take Puppy Classes at Bark Tutor with Brad Phifer and they are awesome!!

We are getting Rabies updated on March 1st so we will definately be coming to the Bark Park after that. Let me know if you want to meet there sometime--Jude loves to play with small doggies!!

Is that next to the Wal-Mart on Keystone?

Pet Supplies plus is next to Marsh at 62nd and Keystone and Bark Tutor is in that same strip...so just down the street from where you are talking about.

I think Zoe might really enjoy that.

Yay! We should all plan a meet up in the next few weeks. It's so new that the word hasn't spread yet....Bark Tutor just recently opened in January so they are hoping that the small dog bark park will take off soon too!

Sounds fun for me as long as I don't have to share my balls.

oh .. this might be a good thing for me to learn better social skills. Mom said I need to work on those.

I'm sure ALL our smaller friends are going to love this! Enjoy guys! Maybe mom will borrow my cousin Toby, he's only 5 pounds, and come meet with you all one Sunday. Toby absolutely LOVES to meet new dog friends....

I'll come down the weekend of the 1st--on March 2nd. Let me know if anyone will be down there that day. Jude has to get her Rabies updated before she can go and all the dogs need Bordetella vaccines...ugh.

We could do the 2nd also. This will be Zoe's first time in this kind of environment, so I will be anxious to see how she does!!

This is very good news. I have a shi-zu (Wookie), and a new rescued Pom-Poodle mix (Ewok). They would love it. They are good with others. I need to get the pom-poo's shots updated first.

We could come on March 2nd. I'll go ahead and put it on the calendar. Deuce and Francie will love it!

I have it on my calendar. You don't have to be taking classes there to use the bark park do you?

Alena on Feb 15 at 02:36 PM

I'm pretty sure you don't have to take classes--Brad said last night to "spread the word" about the indoor Bark Park--so I'm sure it's available to the public. You could call to verify just to make sure...and to verify pricing...the details aren't listed on their website and I'm not sure who actually works down there on Sundays. http://barktutor.com/pages/services.php Scroll all the way down.

I love other dogs, but Mama is scared of bark parks because of the big dogs. This sounds like fun.

This sounds great! we will definitely have to check it out. Although, part of the appeal of the dog park for me is getting to run around outside and get some fresh air (I'm an apt dog :). But, I would love to play with other doggies my size. Maybe we can come on the 2nd too!

Cool! Broad Ripple is not TOO far from us and mom likes trips down there anyways. When I am caught up on all my shots and get a little older, we will definitely make a trip there!

The Pearson Bark Park in Fishers has a separate park (attached to the larger park) for just the small dogs! Can't wait for the weather to warm up and get these guys out socializing again!

We can do the 2nd too! I can't wait! Plus I'd love to go to Pierson barkpark in Fishers but they are just way too expensive ($139 for a year-- outrageous!!) unless we can get a daily pass....

I am very excited to meet all you Indy Paws people and your furkids!!!

I could go, but Kirby and Hoovie would have to stay home. They're big boys, especially Kirbster. Hoover is almost the right weight, he's 28 lbs. I wonder how I would be withough my brothers there? I'm so used to being out with them.

Beverly's Precious Pet Inn in Fishers also has a small dog bark park in addition to their big dog park
