My mom & sis came home sad.

Cookie on My Blog - Tue, June 05 2007

My mom and human sister went to Hamilton County Humane Society to get a kitten to foster after a desperate call for help, not realizing that they were needed to bring home 6 kittens and a mom!! Mommy can't do that right now with an upcoming shoulder surgery and they were SOOOOO sad when they got home. It was a miscommunication thing over the phone. The mom cat hadn't been checked, neither had the kittens, they had not been given any shots and mommy just couldn't risk bringing any bad germs into our family. (there are 5 of us furkids) She feels REALLY bad about this.....does anyone have any words of encouragement? She foseterd last summer, that's how Pearle got here! But it really stressed us kitties and doggies out having "others" around that we couldn't get to. We weren't allowed. Could someone just kinda hug my sis and mom through the computer or something? They're pretty sad.... thanks. Cookie

Me, Maize and Raven all send hugs and kisses!! Mom and Dad foster kittens for our Humane Society and know how much it can stress the rest of us "kids" out. Tell your mom not to feel too bad, there will always be other litters that need help.

My mama had to turn down taking care of 3 puppies when I first joined the family. The puppies hadn't had their shots, and I was really young and my mama was told I hadn't built up immunities (whatever those are), and it might make me sick. It broke mama's heart to not be able to take care of the pups, but I am her baby after all. . .:)

Thanks everyone. Mommy is feeling better about her decision. Like Yogi said, we're her babies and our health comes first.
