Dry paw pads... :(

Madison♄ on Grooming - Wed, January 23 2008

So I know this has been posted about and discussed before, but mom didn't pay attention to the remedies proffered last time...

The cold weather has dried out my poor little paw pads. They are rough and cracked. They aren't itchy, but mom says she likes them better nice and soft.

Are there any home solutions to this beauty dilemma? Something safe for a bratty puppy to lick at?

Advice is, as always, much appreciated.

Love,
Princess Madison

Being a manly dog, I don't put anything on my paws. Mom just wipes them off when we come in from walking to get the salt and mud off them.

Not to ruin my studly rep, but Mama sometimes gives me a little "Shea it isn't so" from Bath and Body Works. Just a very little and rubs in really good. I'm not much of a paw licker so I've not had a problem with it. Sorry, Deuce...

dab of vaseline does the trick for us. Check with Jersey Joe's Mom for "insider" tricks...

I use just a dab of bag balm on Titus' tootsies right before we head for bed.

i like bag balm the best, that stuff is great for so many problems! there is a product for cracked, callused skin, i have used this before and it's great!! - http://www.doggoneclean.com/index.asp?PageAction=VIEWPROD&ProdID=165
