I chase my cat brother Cooter and I am not supposed too. Then it makes Waylon chase him too but he is supposed to know better. Usually Cooter is so defensive and doesn't hesitate to put the dogs in their place but he hasn't been like that with me so much. Momma kinda wishes he would so maybe I would learn faster!
I wish my cats would put Maddie in her place. Three out of four of them have all their claws, but none of them have ever sent a clear "don't chase me" message across a dog nose. It sounds like a lot of dog/cat aggression is going around right now. I wonder if it is because we haven't walked or regularly exercised them as much as usual due to the cold. If Maddie gets too predatory I put her on lead and make her stay with me so I can correct her. That usually helps for a few days, but then I become inconsistent with it. Maybe we all need to consult our new Dr. Phill.
