The article forgets to mention that a higher-end camera without annoying shutter-lag (digital cameras) are handy to take pictures of squirmy pets. I have had to take and re-take TONS of shots to get the few good ones I have, mostly due to my camera being slow.

I hate the pop of flashes!

I'm not a fan of flash photography either -- I squint when I think the flash is going to go off.

The camera gets me excited. Mom pulls it out and I jump up and down and wait for her to take my picture.

I just got a new camera for my birthday a couple of months ago. I explained to the guy at Roberts that most of my subjects would be pets, and that they would most likely be moving. I got a 12 megapixel Canon with hardly any shutter lag, and it has taken some spectacular pictures, I haven't posted any of them yet. Those are some very helpful tips. Thanks!
