THanks and now the quest....

Nutmeg on My Blog - Sat, January 05 2008

Thank you all for the nice words you said when my brother Josh left us. Mom couldn't read them right away but she has now and appreciated all the kindness from the IndyPaw community.

Mom has ALWAYS had two pets in the house and with just me it feels a little hollow. Dad said that when the time is right, I'll have another playmate.

Mom has been calling and looking on all sorts of websites and rescue groups for the special one that will fit in with me and my family.

Mom said she doesn't want to "settle to fill the void" so it may take some time. I understand -- more play time and treats for me!

I wonder what type of new friend I'll get.. another cocker, beagle, corgi, mutt? I know they want small and less grooming but Mom loves cockers. I guess I will just have to wait and see.

Maybe it'll be a birthday present for me?

Hi Nutmeg, We were so sorry to hear of your loss, but we hope your family is doing better. It's a tough time. They will know when the time is right to bring someone home for you. Until then, yes, enjoy all those treats!!!! We will be thinking of all of you. Love, Sunyr, Skippy and Mom

The right sibling is out there waiting for you! Just so you know.... we corgis don't require trimming but BOY do we SHED. Maybe it's the same with cockers. Don't know! Good luck searching. Corgis are lots of fun....!

Corgis are tons of fun! Mom says she loves Cockers, too. Before I came along, she had a cocker who died a couple years ago. She says he was the best dog ever. Whatever ...

Sorry about Joshua. Maybe Scouter and Ojo will come over and give you a good chase to make you feel better?
