Sorry Mommy!!!

Misty on Behavior - Fri, December 14 2007

Well I did it. I bit and scratch the heck out of my mom hands. She was trying to pick me up and put me in the carring crate. She told me I needed to go the vet for my sneezing and watering eye. I think I have a cold. Anyway she came after mean was trying to pick me up and I fought and I got her good. She didn't get mad at me or anything. Well I think she did say some bad words. It was a good thing that the two-legged kids weren't around.
Anyway, she cancelled my appointment and she was the one going to the doctors. No stitches just some meds she needs to take.I don't know what she was expecting. I've only been here with this new family for week. I'm shy and timid, I was just protecting myself. OH I hope that she forgives me. So I'm Sorry Mom

Well Misty, I think you mom will forgive you. She obviously loves you if she didn't even get mad at you. So I would just try to give her some extra purrs or something, I know you said you were still pretty timid so I guess snuggles are out of the question.

I'm sure your mom will forgive you, but you NEED to behave! Santa Paws will be here REAL soon and you do not want to be on the naughty list!

Hmmm...next time maybe she'll try covering you with a towel or blanket first :) Way, way easier and less stressful!

What kind of carrier does she have for you? If it's not a top-loading one, maybe she should consider that... I will NOT go into a typical carrier without a fight. I nearly need to be hog-tied and stuffed in backwards! Anyway, my mom went a bought the kind that you can put the cat in through the top and it's MUCH easier on her... I don't fight much at all when being placed in it.

Cyrus is right. The top loading kind are the best. You might also try having your mom wrap you in a big bath towel real tightly so you can't get out.

This is the other Mom, the one that pays the bills and feeds the four-legged kids when Morgan is too busy being a kid. Any way thanks for the advise on how to put Misty in the carrie. Where were you all this morning when I was fighting with Misty. Just Joking. I will use a blanket next time. I am waiting for my wounds to heal before I try again. I feel bad for Miss Misty and stressing her out like that. She hasn't talked to me all day and she is in hidding. The good news is that she is letting Morgan pet her. She was making so much progress. Know I feel like we went two step back instead of forward. She'll come out when she is really, I'm not going anywhere. Once again thanks for the advise.
