Yep, it's normal. Least that's what someone told me. Dogs will shed their enitre coat twice a year, once for winter, and once for summer. Obviously the hair doesn't fall out all at once, but they'll lose their summer coats and grow a winter one. Rather than just adding fur to their summer coats. I think this is dumb too, but I didn't design 'em. There is a conditioner out there that will release the undercoat of the dog, so they'll shed horribly for about two days after you use it, and then it'll go back to normal hair shedding. I don't like using it, cuz it clogs up our sink, but it does cut down the shedding time.
