Hi guys. I'm back from the vet again. I had to go back to see if I would qualify for the "no peeing in the house" study. All my labs were good and I passed that part with flying colors. I peed in the house enough times this week that I passed that too. Now I have to take pills twice a day that may or may not be the new medicine. Mom has to obsessively keep track of everything in my notebook. The good part is that the pills taste yummy and I got to go to Wipe Your Pawz afterwards. The nice boy there fed me a mini donut hole and we bought some more food, salmon oil, and Christmas presents for our dog friends. The bad part was that they stuck me for more blood and took my blood pressure and everything. I was crying when they finally gave me back to mom. She was almost crying too because she didn't know they were going to have to stick me again so soon. I don't have to go back until the day after Christmas for a re-check. I wonder if they'll stick me again? Mom says I'm doing a good thing to help other dogs that have my problem. Oh, by the way, it's called sphincter hypotonus. Basically my muscles that hold my pee in don't work so good because they're weak. They get really relaxed when I'm really relaxed which explains why I can pee while I'm asleep or sitting on dad's lap. Happy Wiener Wednesday to everybody!
I wondered what that is called. I am often perilously close to it myself, but haven't peed on the floor, thank dogness! You are doing a good thing for yourself and other dogs, Blitzen.
