Really trying.

My new family is trying really hard to get me out of my shell. Just a few minuets ago they got me out of the litterbox and started petting me. For the first few min. I was digging my claws into there skin but they didn't show any pain! (Even though i'm sure it hurt.) They just kept petting and petting and I was purring very affectionatly. I then jumped out of her hands and jumed on the washer where my bed is and rolled into a ball and had a nap! (which I rarely do on the bed usually behind the washer.) I explored a few steps out side the laundry room and then ran back. It was progress though. I can't wait till I get the courage to completly explore the house. (Even with the vicious dog.)

Well in my book all dog's are vicious...but I think I can make an exception. : )

I promise you, Misty...all will be okay. When my Mom and Sister brought me home, I hid in Mom's office and hissed through the baby gate at my BIG brother Shadow! It took me a while, but eventually, I realized he was my best friend. I mean, geez...I didn't even have to wash myself when we were younger! His favorite thing to do was love on me! He's getting older now, so I have to wash myself now! But I still like to head-butt his chin sometimes!!! =o)
